We at Stinger Solutions, the parent company of Yellow Jacket would like to take this time to remind everyone to have a safe and wonderful 4th of July celebration this year! While backyard cookouts, corn-hole and fireworks are a great respite from the hustle and bustle of a normal work week, please pause a moment and give thanks for our great nation and the freedom it affords each of us.
We would also like to thank our nation’s First Responders, Health Care Providers and U.S. Military Personnel and their families, whether they are deployed overseas or serving at home. The sacrifices these men and women make to protect us and keep us safe are enormous. Take the time during our nation’s birthday to thank these true American Heroes!

The Law of Averages vs. The Law of the Jungle
The world is becoming a more violent place. That is undisputed through virtually every type of crime statistic correlated today. Whether it is shopping malls, parking garages, apartment buildings, office centers, subways or gas stations…the Law of the Jungle seems to be more the rule than the exception.
There are steps you can take to lower your chances of becoming a crime statistic. There are things you can do to place the Law of Averages on your side. In the coming months we will be posting tactics and videos on our website at www.yellowjacketcase.com to help raise your situational awareness as well as help to increase your chances of surviving an attack.
Below are three simple concepts that may help lower the chances that you will become another grim statistic:
- Head on a Swivel - Most street thugs will tell you that if you walk around with you face buried in your phone, oblivious to your surroundings…you are increasing your chances of being attacked. It is much easier to surprise-ambush someone who is preoccupied with their texts or music playing through their headphones. Remain alert and vigilant to your surroundings. Don’t let your guard down until you are safely home.
- Walk with a Purpose- Walk with your head held erect. Don’t shuffle along like a weak or frightened mouse. Stand tall and let your gate reflect purpose. While you don’t want to glare at strangers you may meet, you should nevertheless reflect an inner strength and calm that you are confident and capable. Wolves do not prey on the robust of the herd…they cull out the weak and timid.
- Trust Your Instincts- If you get a bad feeling about an individual you have just met, trust your instincts. If you think you have just made a wrong turn into a scary section of town, make a safe (if even illegal) turn to exit that area. If a parking garage seems dark and menacing…wait for a group to accompany you to your car. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from people who seem trustworthy. If everything about a situation or person seems askew and you are uncomfortable, then force yourself to enact an exit strategy. It is far better to be considered rude than to be considered another crime statistic!
Be Smart. Be Safe. Be Alert. Beware….and carry the skills and tools that will ensure your survival. Carry the Yellow Jacket.
Yellow Jacket…the future of self-defense is in your hands!
